Efficiency

The fire starts easily and burns strong. The air intake grille is wide open and spaced from the ground to avoid hindering the inflow of air.

Built to last

A stove that will not let you down and that you will keep for a long time. Quality materials. You won’t risk losing a small, essential part. All the parts are connected to each other.

Stable

Thanks to its flexibility, all four feet touch the ground regardless of the terrain. The weight of the kitchen blocks any movement.

Easy to use

Compact, it can be stored flat. Unfolds in seconds. The front panel is lower to store wood.

Who am I?

Sylvain, mechanical engineer. .

I work in an small company serving the manufacturers of agricultural vehicles, construction and others.

I support companies and inventors by drawing their prototypes.

With my partner, we hike with the bivouac equipment to be free to stop where and when we want.

I love making my equipment: welding a bike rack, machining metals, sewing a tent or saddlebags, cutting a piece of wood...

The idea to make me a wood stove was born in 2013 after reading the wonderful forum randonner-léger , to prepare for a two-week bike trip in Scotland.

The existing models seemed to me either too heavy, or too expensive for what they are, or too cumbersome, or impractical to assemble.

Hiking after hiking, I started playing the game to improve these 5 pieces of sheet metal. The Ferzil adventure had begun.

"About 7 minutes to bring 1.5L of water to a boil, which is perfectly reasonable. The stove is really light and compact once folded up — it’s perfect!"

"I wanted to thank you for your stove, which is amazing and truly practical! It was a huge success while camping in the Azores! Our trip would not have been the same without it."

"I’ve been using nothing but this for the past 3 weeks — morning, noon, afternoon, and evening — for cooking and heating water for coffee... It’s simply amazing. The first test was a risotto for 6 people on a beach by the Tarn River. You just need to feed it with wood and it does the job perfectly!"

But it’s dangerous to make a fire in nature!

A wood stove helps to contain the fire.

Whether it is a gas, alcohol, gas, or wood stove, it must be monitored closely.

I use the wood stove when the situation allows it, otherwise gas or alcohol. The wood stove replaces the gas cartridge in advance.

And how to light a fire when it rains? ?

With a wood stove, all you need is a handful of dry grass to get started. The dead branches are high up. Keep a reserve of wood and dried twigs... There are plenty of tips to find fuel in nature.

Anyway, it’s easier than returning to the previous village when the gas cylinder is empty.
